Piece of the Week – 1/17/2014

I do believe it’s been a while since I posted anything like a violin concerto.  So here’s the one by Hindemith, under the composer’s baton.

Have a good weekend, everybody!

Piece of the Week – 10/18/2013

Yep, that time of the week again. Here’s the famous 1967 performance of Elgar’s Cello Concerto with Daniel Barenboim conducting and Jaqueline du Pre as the soloist.

Piece of the Week – 8/9/2013

Something a bit more obscure this time. I actually found out about this as well as “Vltava” via Pandora Internet radio. It’s Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole – got to play the first movement myself on 2nd horn with a community orchestra last year. Give it a listen if you haven’t heard it, it’s tons of fun.
